First off, I wanted to say thank you for subscribing to my Substack! I started late last year and it’s been so cool connecting with other writers and readers on this platform.
I hope you’ve enjoyed season one of my episodic story, Almost the Chosen One. I’ll be starting season two in a few more weeks.
Latest project
Here’s a little visual teaser of my recently completed middle grade fantasy book. It’s chock-full of adventure, fantastic creatures, quirky characters, and humor. Right now it’s being revised and edited. I hope to release it in the fall on Amazon. More details coming soon!
Favorite Writing Memes
I really enjoy memes. Especially when they focus around writing. I’m including some of my favorites below:
Least Favorite Writing Memes
Below are 2 of my least favorite memes. I find them really annoying. I’m pretty diligent when it comes to my writing so when I decide to take a break and hop online, the last thing I want is a meme nagging me that “I should be writing.”
The second meme (below) that is just the worst ever, is this concept: While the world burns all writers can do is shout “buy my book.” First of all, most writers make little money from books they labored over through blood, sweat, and tears. And when they finally get up the courage to promote their book, this meme tries to make them feel bad for doing so. I know, I know, it’s just a meme but it’s just such an annoying idea. Everyone still has to do their job when tough situations are going on around the world. I would argue that when life is tough, uplifting stories are needed more than ever.
Well, that just about does it for this weeks email. Hope you enjoyed it! Feel free to connect with me on Substack and let me know if I missed any good/bad memes.
Hope you have a great week!

And isn't Will Ferrell just annoying most of the time anyway?
